Allison co-founded the True/False podcast, a partnership with KBIA and the University of Missouri School of Journalism. For three seasons, she worked as creative director and producer. Each episode features a conversation with a True/False curator and a True/False filmmaker on a specific aspect of the art of nonfiction.

Allison attended the Transom Traveling Workshop in 2016. In the course of a week, participants (some of whom had never held a microphone before) envisioned, recorded, and edited a short audio piece. Her piece from that week can be found on the Missouri Audio Project website and a shorter version went on to air on KBIA, the NPR affiliate station in Columbia, MO.
The True/False Podcast is now in its third season.
Every year in March, the True/False Film Fest celebrates the complex, surprising, and hilarious world we share – and the documentary films that capture it. Now, we want to give you a taste of the Fest year-round with the True/False podcast. Presented by KBIA. Hosted by Allison Coffelt.
